| Michael Thomas |

Michael started his journey to teach on the healing island of Maui. He has been fortunate to study with Master teachers from both India and Southern California, where he has trained for years. Michael believes each of us is our own authentic teacher. In order to access this intelligence we must get quiet enough to truly listen. This awareness is where the practice of yoga begins.
"Yoga is such a personal thing. Each of us carries to the mat ALL of the stuff we've been through. Every time we step onto our mat it is an opportunity to meet ourselves again and again with love, compassion, and joy."
Michael teaches a challenging heart-felt practice drawing from his own life experience as a financial and estate planner, musician, and bhakti yogi. He has taught in New York City and instructs at and operates a donation-based studio in Baltimore. He has worked with professional football and soccer players as well as college and high school athletic teams.

| Kate Kennedy |

Yoga found Kate when she was living in La Jolla California. At the time, she felt very busy working long days and was generally stressed out. A wonderful yoga teacher she met in 2003 said to her, “If you don’t take care of your body, where are you going to live?” For some reason this resonated so deeply as a truth in her mind and soul and she began to trust the process of Yoga as it began to unfold.
Studying various types of yoga in California she found that a balanced mixed of Restorative Hatha Yoga and faster paced Vinyasa Flow worked well for her mind and body. Yoga became a way for her to let go and surrender to the obstacles of life and learn how to both strengthen the body and the mind with a sort of quite inner strength.
In the summer of 2008, Kate moved back to her hometown of Baltimore after 8 years in San Diego working with non-profit youth and golf organizations. Although she misses the surf and the sun, she is honored to share the gift of yoga in Baltimore. She is certified in Integral Yoga and Yoga Ed and her classes tend to be a mixture of many styles of yoga emphasizing the breath, strength, relaxation, and a gentle flow.
